Myrtle's Legacy is inspired by the design of an old woven Navajo rug, handcrafted by a Native American woman named Myrtle, who created several of these traditional pieces while living on the reservation. Judit received a photo of the original rug from Myrtle's granddaughter, who hoped to recreate the design in quilt form. In honor of the original maker and her artistry, Judit named the quilt Myrtle's Legacy as a tribute to her.
